My textile piece "Dusk till Dawn" showcased at the 16th International Textile and Fibre Art Biennial "Scythia" that was held in Ivano-Frankivs’k, Ukraine.
Dusk till Dawn explores the interplay between dualities through two opposing black and white fabrics, joined and interwoven with strips from the same material to create a seamless, continuous flow. Both panels portray the same landscape infused with distinct energies one measured and composed, the other restless and untamed gradually dissolving into each other to evoke a dialogue between control and chaos.
Here I have used my previous printed fabrics - The Devore "Midnight Muse" from "The Zenith of Her" collection and a lino printed fabric from "Bittersweet Sovereignty" to repurpose these "synthetics" fabric I had.
